What is CLEARRAY?
-CLEARRAY is a mechanical device, attached to the plumbing in your tub, that exposes water to optimum Germicidal UV-C rays, treating 99.9% of waterborne bacteria and viruses. The Ultraviolet light actually alters the DNA of the bacteria, rendering it unable to reproduce.
It IS NOT an "Ozonator!"

What are the Differences Compared to SALT Systems?
-Most people believe having a salt system on their hot tub means they will not be using chlorine in their water, but this is not the case. Salt systems actually generate Hypochlorous Acid, which is a type of Chlorine. This Acid/Chlorine is what is doing the majority of the sanitizing. The salt does not do anything but cause the Chlorine to be created. With salt systems, more Chlorine is used than with CLEARRAY, because with CLEARRAY, the majority of the sanitizing is the actual UV-C light.
-Salt is VERY CORROSIVE in water. Salt systems will cause things in the hot tub to corrode. CLEARRAY's UV-C ray is harmless to the entire hot tub and its parts.
-With salt systems, you have to test the salt level and add salt to the water when the salt is low. You also will need to test for Chlorine, too. With CLEARRAY, you don't have to test anything for the UV-C to do its work, and following our easy directions with our CLEARRAY system, you don't test for Chlorine EVER! It's a lot simpler and easier than using salt.
What are the Differences Compared to Ozonators?
Before we knew anything about CLEARRAY, we liked what Ozonators did to lessen the amount of Sanitizer (Chlorine or Bromine) our customers would have to add to their hot tub water. Chlorine is the way to go with hot tubs, but less is best; the higher the chlorine level in the water, the more smell, foam, and skin irritation you’ll get. What we didn’t like about Ozonators were the facts that to help cut down on the amount of Sanitizer, the headrests in the tub and the bottom of the hot tub covers would lighten and begin to corrode rather quickly from the Ozone Gas. Plus, not everyone liked the smell of Ozone Gas.
