The Difference Between the Words
SPA, HOT TUB, and JACUZZI...
Spas and hot tubs are considered as the same thing. These are a portable unit with an internal filtration system, including pumps, heater, and plumbing. A spa or hot tub is made to stay filled for months at a time and treated chemically, like a swimming pool, and unlike a "whirlpool bath tub" (which is typically drained after each use.)
More people use the word "Jacuzzi" when describing a spa / hot tub then actually using the words "spa" or "hot tub," but many people do not fully understand what Jacuzzi actually means.
Jacuzzi is the name of the company who invented and created the first "spa"...or "hot tub," if you prefer. They also invented the first "whirlpool bath tub." Jacuzzi has been around longer than any other spa, hot tub, or whirlpool bath tub manufacturer. They continue to sell more Jacuzzi hot tubs, year after year, than any other manufacturer in the hot tub industry. And since the year they manufactured their first hot tub, (in 1968,) they have continued to be the the most trusted company in the hot tub industry.
